Dear Supporters,

I am personally asking for you final round of help in our campaign as I am very concerned about new developments. I have so appreciated all you have done, but WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP.

We knew that out name ID according to the Columbus Dispatch poll was 16% to our opponent's 12%. We have now just learned that the Obama camp has sent out 5 million slate cards with our opponents name on them. A friend of mine stood in a line to vote yesterday for two hours, and almost everyone in the line had that slate card in hand. This alone could make the difference in this campaign.

We have spent every dollar we have available on TV ads but that will not be enough. We need a major grass roots effort to counteract that 5M!!!!

Please join our email campaign which we call the POWER OF SEND. On our web site, www.strattonforsupremecourt.com, are two email messages, one about my court work and one about my adoption and mental health work, as well as a copy of the mental health flyer that you could attach to each email.

Please ask other lawyers, associates, law clerks, secretaries, clients, friends, FAMILY--anyone-- to join in the email campaign and get as many sent out as possible. A personal word from you can be the difference as to whether that person votes for the Supreme Court as no one knows who the justices are! It will count far more than a 15 second ad they may not ever even see!

My opponent, while a good person, has a very different philosophy. He has many times stated that tort reform is unconstitutional, and in Wed.'s debate in Cincinnati, when asked by the moderator whether it was proper for a justice to "represent the injured guy against the big corporations" (as he has been quoted), said that it was proper for a justice to do so. I don't think we want that bias on the bench-we want someone who will be fair to all who are before him, not representing a side as a judge!!!
