Miata Drivers For Stratton

As most everyone is aware, Pete and Donna Miller -- along with a few other intrepid bikers -- have nearly completed a tour of all 88 Ohio counties on their "Circuit Riders For Stratton" tour. Linda Crawford and I have also been acting as volunteers each Wednesday evening (doing pretty menial things such as stuffing envelopes) and occasionally acting as the Justice's chauffeurs

At our session last Wednesday, Pete mentioned the concept of Miata Drivers for Stratton and charged Linda and me to come up with something. A couple of ideas surfaced. One would be to take a look at the tremendous number of small fairs and festivals that will still be going on this summer/early fall.

A group of us could drive to the event wearing the distinctive "Circuit Riders for Stratton" tee shirts and just mingle with the crowd. (Pete offered to give a tee to any member who'd commit to participating in at least two events or sell them at the very attractive price of $10
each for those who could only drive once.)

Another choice would be for the group to attend one or more of the various fund raisers Eve will have in the Central Ohio area. Attendance would also qualify for tee shirts. Of course, these are not mutually exclusive. That is, we could do a combination of festivals and funding events. The key to all this is interest of the membership.

We are supporting Justice Stratton because she firmly believes in a strict interpretation of the Constitution and equal, impartial administration of the law. We also like to have fun with our Miatas! So, if you'd be interested in participating in such events please send Linda or me an e-mail. We'll total up the responses and see if it makes sense to "drive" forward.
