Road Report - Monroe & Noble Counties

Caldwell, OH, July 21, 2008. This morning we rode north out of Marietta along one of Ohio's National Covered Bridge Scenic By-Ways, U.S. Route 26, through the Wayne National Forest and into Woodsfield, OH, the county seat of Monroe County.

Monroe County was formed in 1802, the same year that the Ohio Constitution was signed creating the Ohio Supreme Court. Thus, we rode in the same footsteps as did the pioneering justices over two centuries ago.

We were greeted at the Home Town Restaurant just off the Woodsfield Town Square by a gentleman who works in the Monroe County Engineer's Office.

Then we rode on to Noble County and scoped out the location where we will line up for the Caldwell Fireman's Festival Parade this coming Saturday night.

Thanks to everyone we met on this ride in Monroe, Noble, Guernsey, Muskingum and Licking Counties! A gentleman in Monroe County ordered a tee-shirt, and a lady in Noble County requested a business card from Donna.

Ride Safe . . . Ride On!
